LSMT is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all genders. Our Gender Policy Code of Conduct establishes eight core principles for fostering a culture of equality:

  1. Equal Rights & Opportunities: All staff and students are responsible for ensuring equal rights and development opportunities.
  2. Balanced Representation: We aim for gender balance across all roles. Underrepresentation will lead to preferential treatment when qualifications are equal.
  3. Non-Discrimination: No one may suffer negative consequences based on sex, gender identity, or transition.
  4. Work-Life Balance: LSMT supports flexible work and study arrangements, including childcare facilities.
  5. Respect & Dignity: Sexual harassment and sexist behavior are strictly prohibited, ensuring dignity for all.
  6. Inclusive Language: Written and spoken communication should reflect equal treatment of genders.
  7. Data Monitoring: Gender-related data is regularly collected to monitor progress, inform decisions, and advance equal opportunities.
  8. Support Services: The Office for Gender Equality and Diversity provides guidance on gender-related policies and issues.
