LSMT Transfer Credit Policy

At LSMT, transfer credits are assessed on a case-by-case basis, with no guarantee of acceptance. Students interested in transferring credits should consult with admissions advisors before enrolling to confirm which credits are transferable. LSMT accepts credits from accredited institutions both within the U.S. and internationally. An official transcript is required for evaluation, and credits are granted based on the course's level (undergraduate or graduate) and alignment with LSMT's curriculum.

Courses from affiliated community colleges may have guaranteed transferability to equivalent LSMT programs. However, credits earned at LSMT may not necessarily transfer to other institutions, so students should verify acceptance with the prospective school before transferring.

Evaluation Process:

  • LSMT's experienced admissions professionals evaluate credits based on course syllabi, content, and other relevant information to determine appropriate equivalency.
  • For undergraduate programs, courses must be at least undergraduate-level, and similarly, graduate-level courses are needed for graduate program credits.
  • If an applicant’s courses are not eligible for transfer, a high school or secondary school transcript will be required to determine eligibility for admission into LSMT’s degree programs.

Important Notes:

  • All transfer credits are finalized once the student is accepted into a degree program.
  • The transfer credit policy applies from January 1st, 2022, replacing any prior policies.
